KUCHING: Taiwan Tourism Bureau aims to attract more visitors from Sarawak to stay longer in Taiwan to experience its beauty and hospitality.

The Bureau in collaboration with Taiwan Leisure Farms Development Association staged a ‘ Time for Taiwan Roadshow’ in Imperial Hotel here on Wednesday.

The roadshow brought 10 representatives from Taiwan leisure farms to promote their best and latest tourism products and offerings to tour operators, travel agencies and travel planners here.

The leisure farms involved were Shangrila Leisure Farm, San Fu Leisure Farm, Rollin Leisure Farm, Toucheng Leisure Farm, Shei Pa Leisure, Glying Cow Ranch, Fairy Story Organic Farm B&B, Flower Home Leisure Farm, Long Yun Leisure Farm and Zhuo Ye Cottage.

The Bureau KL Office director Tony Wu emphasised the Bureau’s commitment to coordinate with local tour operators to provide tourists unforgettable experiences.

“We will do the best we can to provide you the assistance and support. There are various incentives for the products offered so tour operators will benefit immensely,” he said.

“We are excited to bring the excitement of Taiwan and the friendliness of our people to our stakeholders and business partners here,” he added.

Wu hopes support from Air Asia will encourage more visitors to Taiwan from Sarawak.

The roadshow includes a B2B (business-to-business) session that provided opportunity for leisure farm representatives to engage and network with potential local tour operators, travel agencies and planners.

The event was followed by a buffet dinner and lucky draw.

The five-day roadshow started in Miri on Monday proceeded to Sibu and Kuching with its last leg in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah yesterday.

Also present was Air Asia head of commercial for East Malaysia, Nur Hayati Aziz Rashid.
