KUCHING: The Sarawak General Hospital ( SGH) is calling for members of the public to donate blood to ensure continuous and sufficient stock in its Blood Bank for needy patients at the hospital particularly during the Chinese New Year holidays.

SGH Medical Transfusion Unit head Dr Mohamad Masrin Md Zahrin said the hospital needed blood from A, O, AB and B groups.

“The number of blood donors who come to our Blood Bank at SGH or our Blood Bank Mobile Unit will decrease a week before and after the Chinese New Year celebration.
