Support Crocs with season tickets

KUCHING: DP Ice Cream Gula Apong Sarawak has become the first private company to come forward to support the Crocs by buying season tickets for the new season of the Malaysia League.

Its executive director Datuk Paruwadi Musa purchased 10 Platinum season tickets for a total of RM30,000 from Football Associatio­n of Sarawak ( FAS) yesterday.

FAS vice - p resident cum secretary Razali Dolhan, while extending the associatio­n’s appreciati­on to Paruwadi, hoped more corporate bodies and fans could follow suit.

“The season ticket is one of the products that we are promoting in the move to support football.

“This Platinum season ticket priced at RM3,000 each comes with a package that includes privileges such as free access to lounge, prime seat, free WiFi, Astro telecast, allocated car parking and refreshmen­t,” he said at the FAS lounge at Stadium Negeri yesterday.

Free gifts for the ticket buyer include a scarf, lanyard, Crocs mascot as well as home and away football jerseys.

According to Razali, other season tickets are priced at RM150 each for open terrace ( Zone A and B), RM200 each for covered terrace ( Zone A and B), RM250 each for covered terrace (Zone C) and RM2,000 each for Grandstand (Gold).

“This is a good sign that more corporate bodies will be coming forward to purchase the Gold and Platinum season tickets,” he said of the support from DP Ice Cream Gula Apong Sarawak.

Paruwadi, Razali continued, had also kindly sponsored airtime on LED advertisem­ent board for two home matches.

He added that other products wi l l be shown on the LED advertisem­ent board which is done for the first time in the state.

Paruwadi said he was proud to support Sarawak footbal l both as a Ngap Sayot fan and carrying out his corporate social responsibi­lity.

“This is one way that the corporate sector and fans can help contribute to Sarawak football and I am confident that more will come forward and join me to support our beloved team,” he added.

Meanwhile, FAS are organising a exhibition match between the Malaysia League 1997 champion team and Sarawak Super League 2017 team on Feb 3 at Stadium Negeri at 4pm.

Razali said the match was organised to celebrate the 25th anniversar­y of Sarawak becoming Malaysia League Champions in 1997 and to inspire and motivate the Sarawak team to do well this year.

Other activities on that day are a mini concert, bicycle show, exhibition and stalls will be set up to sell football jerseys.
