LUNDU: Tanjong Datu folk have been reminded not to be complacent that Barisan Nasional ( BN) candidate Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu will win the by- election on Feb 18.

Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dato Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, who is Tanjong Datu byelection BN director of operations, warned that such complacency might result in constituents not turning up to vote.

“Through our votes, it will reflect our support for her, who is the best to continue the legacy of her husband (former chief minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem) to develop Lundu in general, especially Tanjong Datu,” Wan Junaidi said during an event at Masjid Darul Iman in Kampung Sileng on Monday.

“I am confident that the voters here will fully support the BN and Datuk Patinggi Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu, who was the backbone of the late Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem.”

Wan Junaidi also urged the people to give Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg the opportunity to continue Adenan’s legacy and aspirations.

“There are several government projects in the pipeline. With the support of the people, it will greatly ease the construction of such projects, which are aimed at easing the burdens of the people,” he said.

Wan Junaidi also reminded voters to bring along their identification cards on polling day.
