Chinese youth blood donation campaign this Sunday

KUCHING: The Federation of Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions Chinese Associatio­ns Youth Section, Sarawak (Chinese Youth) will be holding a blood donation campaign this Sunday, Feb 19.

The event will take place at Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad office, Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho (near Maybank) from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

The campaign is supported by the Kuching Fui Tung Onn Community Associatio­n Youth Section ( Fui Tung Onn Youth) and organised jointly with Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad (Affin Hwang), assisted by the Malaysia Red Crescent ( Kuching Chapter) and Sarawak General Hospital in response to a call for more blood supply to its blood bank as well as to create awareness among the general public on the noble deed of saving lives through blood donation.

The organisers appeal to eligible donors to come early to donate their blood.

They also thanked Affin Hwang for providing the venue and sponsoring golf umbrellas, and to all major annual sponsors for their generous support of the event – Lee Onn Group of Companies, Hock Peng Organisati­on and Torng Meei Import & Export Trading Co; and other sponsors Shanghai Electric and Hock Seng Lee Berhad.

Successful donors will take home margarine pack sponsored by Syarikat Kion Hoong Cooking Oil Mills Sdn Bhd, package milk sponsored by Supreme Food Supply ( M) Sdn Bhd, cookies sponsored by Choon Hua Trading Corporatio­n Sdn Bhd, rice noddle sponsored by Kinguan Trading & Packing Sdn Bhd; drinking water sponsored by Anergy Water Sdn Bhd and newspaper sponsored by See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd.
