Curtin Malaysia to hold discovery day for prospective students
MIRI: Curtin University, Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) will hold a Curtin Discovery Day tomorrow ( Feb 18) to give prospective students and their parents an opportunity to visit and find out more about studying at the campus here.
It will be held from 10am to 4pm in the university’s Heron 1 Building lobby. Admission is free of charge.
SPM school leavers keen to enrol in the current intake are encouraged to attend and meet marketing staff who will give them advice on available courses and scholarships, career pathways and enrolment. They are advised to bring along their actual or forecast results for on-the- spot assessment and application.
Also present to advise students on loans and scholarships will be representatives of PTPTN and Yayasan Sarawak.
There will also be talks by academic staff from the various faculties, including ‘ Explore Engineering!’ and ‘ Explore Business!’ sessions from 11am to noon and 2pm to 3pm respectively.
Alumni of Curtin Malaysia will also talk about their past experiences as students of the campus and their current careers. There will also be tours to highlight its wide range of campus facilities.
Curtin Malaysia offers courses in business, humanities, engineering and related sciences at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while the foundation courses are in business, arts and engineering that feed directly into the undergraduate programmes.
It offers an early bird rebate of RM200 to students who enrol for the foundation intake and make payment of applicable fees before February 27, 2017.
The February/ March or first semester intake is now in progress with classes for undergraduate and foundation courses commencing on February 27 and March 27 respectively.
