Vince Vaughn is latest ‘Fighting With My Family’ addition
WRESTLING- oriented comedy drama “Fighting With My Family” has added Vince Vaughn to its ranks, which already include Lena Headey, Nick Frost, Florence Pugh and Dwayne Johnson. Johnson and Vaughn reunite after 2005 crime comedy “Be Cool” for “Fighting With My Family,” which has an exwrestler’s child on the verge of entering her parent’s profession. Lena Heady (“Game of Thrones” and “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) plays the former wrestler Julia Bevis, with Florence Pugh of “The Falling” and 2017’s upcoming “Lady Macbeth” as her rising star daughter Saraya. The characters are named after and based on current WWE star Paige, born Saraya- Jade Bevis, and her family. “He’s playing a man whom I know all too well and those of you who follow wrestling history know well too,” Johnson said on Instagram, announcing the latest cast addition, and leaving fans guessing as to the Vaughn character’s identity. He’s to play an “80’s wrestling star who squandered his money and opportunities because he didn’t have the capacity to handle his fame. One bad decision after another, but these days he owns his past actions and does everything he can to give back to the wrestling business he loves.” Johnson, who previously worked for the WWE entertainment wrestling organisation, is also one of the film’s producers, while Stephen Merchant of TV series “The Office,” “Hello Ladies” and “An Idiot Abroad” wrote and will direct.
