Success comes with a price, Awg Tengah reminds students
LAWAS: Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has reminded students that success will not come without struggle or hard work and it takes strong will and continuous determination to achieve.
Awang Tengah said this in his address at the closing ceremony of Limbang Division 47th Inter- School Athletic Meet at Lawas Sport Complex yesterday.
“You need to have the spirit and the determination in order to succeed at the highest level,” he said as he reminded Limbang youths to always aim high and do their best.

said that sport was not only important for health, but sporting events also served as a platform that unite people of various races.
At the function, Awang Tengah announced a grant of RM25,000 for Limbang Division School Sports Council ( MSSM).
Also contributing were Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism ( KPDNKK), and Lawas MP Dato Henry Sum Agong ( RM15,000); Assistant Minister of Welfare and Community Wellbeing and Bukit Kota assemblyman Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail ( RM10,000); Limbang MP Hasbi Habibolah ( RM10,000) and Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang ( RM10,000), making the total grant received by MSSM Limbang to RM70,000.
Meanwhile Mara Siti Rau from SMK Trusan was named this year’s Best Female Athlete while the Best Male Athlete was Nicholas Philip from SMK Seri Patiambun Limbang.
SMK Seri Patiambun emerged as the overall champion for this year’s Lawas Division MSSM while SMK Sundar was second followed by SMK Trusan in the third place.
Also present at the closing ceremony were Henry Sum, Hasbi, Paulus, Lawas District officer Husaini Hakim and Limbang MSSM chairman Mohammad Tangah.
