Jimisar Group unveils fresh new look Honda City
KUCHING: The fresh new look Honda City was unveiled by Jimisar Group, an authorised 3S Honda dealer in Sarawak, at its showroom here yesterday.
According to Jimisar Corporation sales manager John Paul, the facelifted Honda City sedan is available in three variants: 1.5L S, 1.5L E and 1.5L V and priced at RM79,300, RM85,600 and RM93,000 on the road with insurance respectively.
John said the model comes with a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty and a free service interval package. It is available in five exterior body colours: Lunar Silver Metallic, Taffeta White, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
“Jimisar is proud that Honda Malaysia has introduced the City facelift model into the market as a B- Segment priced sedan with C- Segment premium features. Most importantly, despite major feature enhancements Honda is still maintaining the same price tag as its predecessor model,” he said.
John is confident this new model would continue to dominate the B- Segment sedan category and they are targeting to collect a monthly booking of 150 units.
The refreshed Honda City is equipped with new dual tone alloy wheels, further elevating the City’s sleek and stylish design with LED headlights with LED daytime running lights ( DRL) and front LED fog lights for the top-spec V variant.
The exterior appearance is further enhanced by the new chrome bar and a reworked front grille featuring a new honeycomb mesh and chrome strip.
At the rear, the V variant is equipped with a ducktail spoiler integrated with LED brake light, LED tail lights and a multi-angle reverse camera.
“Other features which Honda Malaysia has generously made available in all the City variants are the smart keyless entry, auto retractable door mirrors and the push-start button. Meanwhile, the E and V variants will get the extra paddle shift control and 6.8-inch display audio and the V variant also comes with leather seats and eight speakers which give an overall premium sedan feeling,” said John.
Under the hood, the City retains the 1.5L i-VTEC engine with an output of 120PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm. A Continuous Variable Transmission ( CVT) gearbox provides smooth driving experience and improved fuel economy.
In terms of safety features, the refreshed City continues to set the benchmark in the B-segment safety with vehicle stability assist ( VSA), hill start assists ( HAS) and emergency stop signal ( ESS) which comes as standard across all variants.
VSA stabilises the New City by reducing under/over steering when driving in unexpected situations or during tight cornering while HAS helps to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when the brakes are released on an incline.
“ESS makes the rear brake lights and hazard lights flash automatically to warn nearby cars when the vehicle detects sudden braking. The premium V variant comes with six airbags,” commented John.
