Parent-child fashion contest at Bintang Megamall April 1

MIRI: The public here are invited to take part in a parent- child fashion contest organised by The Borneo Post this coming April 1.

The event to be held in collaboration with Bintang Megamall is in conjunction with the Miri Trade Fair 2017 ( Mitraf 2017) which will take place from March 30 to April 2.

According to a spokesperson of the event, the contest is open to pairs of either a parent with his or her child as well as a grandparent with his or her grandchild.

The contest is limited to 20 pairs only and it will be on a fi rst- come-fi rst- serve basis.

Venue for the competition is Bintang Megamall’s new wing and the event will be from 10am to 12 noon.

Participants will be judged based on three criteria namely Fashion (40); Interaction (40 points) as well as Question & Answers (20 points).

Champion of the competition will bag home a cash prize of RM300, followed by RM200 for the second place and RM100 for the third place.

The other 17 pairs will each be awarded a consolation prize of RM50 cash.

Apart from the cash prize, all winners will also receive a special gift from the organiser.

“There will also be ‘ The Best Costume Award’ given out to the pair with the most fashionable and creative costume,” added the spokesperson.

The closing date for submission of entry is March 26 and those who wish to register can contact Madam Ting at 012- 8705571.

On the day of the competition, all participants must be present at the event venue on or before 9.30am to reconfirm their registration and participation.
