Work begins on access road connecting two longhouses in Nanga Jempai

JULAU: A 600-metre access road is being built for the benefit of residents of Rumah John Kennedy Mamat and Rumah Laman Nantang in Nanga Jempai, Entabai near here .

Meluan assemblyman Rolland Duat when performing the earth-breaking ceremony for the RM50,000 road project at Rumah Kennedy last Sunday called on the residents of the two longhouses to work together to ensure the project would be implemented smoothly.

During the function, Rolland also presented minor rural project ( MRP) grant cheques worth RM20,000 to security and development committee (JKKK) of Rumah John Kennedy and RM10,000 to JKKK of Rumah Laman.

Among those present were Councillor Basil Mamat and local community leaders.
