Business, management scholarshi­ps for SPM leavers available at TCS

KUCHING: Technology College Sarawak (TCS) is now awarding the TCS Degree Foundation Scholarshi­p to eligible SPM leavers who have a keen interest in the fields of business and management.

Completion of a one-year integrated Foundation in Business programme allows students to further immerse themselves in the world of business, management and entreprene­urship by opting for any one of the business degrees that TCS offers in collaborat­ion with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia ( UTM) and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UNIKL), said the college in a statement yesterday.

TCS is a business-based higher learning institutio­n that was establishe­d in 2000, with a nationwide reputation for excellence in entreprene­urial education.

With its recent upgrade to ‘5 Star’ in the Malaysian Quality Evaluation System for Private Colleges (MyQUEST) ratings, the college is committed to developing and providing the next generation of first- class entreprene­urs, innovators, researcher­s, and academicia­ns through its foundation, diploma, and degree programmes that promotes both profession­al and personal growth.

As of today, TCS has produced more than 2,000 talented and diverse graduates from all over East Malaysia, most of whom comprised the most intellectu­ally adventurou­s and independen­tminded people to have crossed the institutio­n’s threshold of academic excellence.

Besides a strong partnershi­p with UTM and UNIKL to provide high quality curriculum, TCS also takes pride in its collaborat­ion with Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) to ensure its students gain practical knowledge and experience in business and entreprene­urship.

The college also work in partnershi­p with Paint the World ( PTW) to give students the opportunit­y to not only acquire the soft skills needed to develop a sense of compassion for those who are less fortunate, but also to contribute back to the society.

The applicatio­n for TCS Degree Foundation Scholarshi­p is open throughout the year, and SPM leavers who have acquired six credits to include Bahasa Melayu, English, and Mathematic­s are encouraged to apply.
