SMK Selirik attains best Average School Grade for Kapit Division

KAPIT: SMK Selirik has created history by becoming the best school in Kapit Division for attaining Average School Grade (GPS) of 5.18 and a pass rate of 91.3 per cent in last year’s SPM.

According to school principal Jarit Jermit, this achievemen­t was better compared to the previous year’s ( 2015) SPM GPS of 6.19.

“For 2016,147out of161candi­dates passed their examinatio­n with a passing rate of 91.3 per cent. SMK Selirik scored a 1.01 difference as compared to the previous year’s GPS of 6.19 with this year’s 5.18 GPS,” explained Jarit.

Schools in Kapit Division also surpassed the state’s GPS of 5.34 and Jarit has called on parents and students to continue working together to achieve better results in future.
