Nirvana launches new products, rewards staff

KUCHING: Kuching Memorial Services Sdn Bhd embraced the new year with a celebratio­n of their top service personnel for 2016, and with much to offer to local clients this year.

Its managing director Anna Wong announced their new 672urn columbariu­m for Christians at Nirvana Memorial Park, which is now available for booking.

Meanwhile, the Treasure Hall crematoriu­m gained a third cremation chamber to more efficientl­y handle the popularity of this funeral method.

According to Wong, the Nirvana Pet Memorial Garden was warmly received by pet owners despite the economic downturn, seeing an increase of 300 per cent in sales from 2015.

She was speaking at their Annual NV Recognitio­n Night 2016 and Dinner, where they honoured their top performers.

In his speech, Lo said that people are naturally concerned about what happens to their remains after they pass on.

Various people received awards for coming up top in performanc­e last year in four categories – Service Advisors ( SA), Service Directors ( SD), Pre- District Service Director ( PDSD) and District Service Director ( DSD).

Under the Top SA category, Cindy Chung was named the champion for 2016 while Crystal Lai came in as first runner-up. Yeo Hai Wui was second runner-up, and Vivian Chai was presented with the Award of Excellence.

The Top SD was Chung Joon Swiee, while Phoing Chin Moi was first runner-up and Tan Suk Kiang came in third.

Under the Top PDSD category, Hazel Lai was champion, with Chung Joon Sin as first runnerup.

For Top DSD, Amy Low was crowned champion, while Chung Miang Poh was first runner-up.

Awards were also given out for top performers in the third quarter and fourth quarter.
