Veteran Gallen Lo laughs off comments that he appears breathless doing lines
HONG KONG: veteran actor Gallen Lo, who is back with TVB after a seven-year hiatus, has laughed off observations that he appears breathless when speaking his lines.
Also starring in The Provocateur are veteran actor Lee Sing Cheong, Ali Lee and singer Fred Cheng, with the latter portraying Gallen’s son.
Online comments had been unfavourable for Cheng, who has been dismissed as lacking in experience in acting.
Comments have focused on the fact that Lee, in the role as a villain, has saved the say for the series with an impeccable performance.
In the series, Lee is Gallen’s rival and enemy.
Gallen trumps Lee in a battle of wits, and often leaves him deeply embarrassed. Naturally, Lee’s resentment builds up.
Lee is not as suave as either Gallen or Cheng, but more than compensates for this with highquality acting.
But Lee denies that he is trying to overshadow either of his costars.
Said Lee in an interview: “I am not stealing the spotlight. I am just doing what I need to do.”
