Jackie Chan shows film props to promote recycling concept
SHANGHAI: Superstar Jackie Chan has opened a new exhibit in Shanghai, combining the themes of fi lmmaking and recycling.
On show are over 40 pieces of movie props and other items from Jackie’s chequered career.
These have all been re-made and transformed into works of art by 25 artists from around the world.
According to Jackie, he had collected many items from his movie sets that would have otherwise gone to landfi lls.
He has then shown or given them to his artist friends, who have reused them to create sculptures or other objects of new artistic value.
Jackie is hoping to promote the concepts of recycling and environmental protection through the exhibit, which is also set to travel around the world after its showing in Shanghai.
Jackie, who turns 64 next month, has appeared in well over 200 fi lms.
