such a majestic-looking DUN building,” she said.
“More importantly, our intention is to enhance ties with the women’s organisations and associations here and last night ( Monday), we had a dinner and meet-up with the women’s groups here,” she added.
Having visited the Serapi Garden which boasts a fig and stingless bee ( kelulut) farm, Jahara expressed interest in such eco-tourism projects.
“This eco-tourism project can be further developed in Peninsular Malaysia including Penang, which I believe will be well accepted by the people especially producers and entrepreneurs,” she elaborated.
Jahara pointed out that they were also looking into the possibility of collaborating with Sarawak to develop women entrepreneurs in various industries and sectors.
Earlier on, DUN Speaker Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar gave a brief history of Sarawak and the DUN Building to the entourage.
DUN secretary Semawi Mohamad and deputy secretary Sharifah Shazzea Akil were among those present.
