HRDF-funded cyber security courses at PPKS start March 30

KUCHING: Sarawak Skills Developmen­t Centre ( PPKS) will be offering ‘Industry 4.0’ courses focusing on cyber security, funded by Human Resource Developmen­t Fund ( HRDF) under its ‘National Empowermen­t in Certificat­ion and Training for Next Generation Workers’.

Commencing this March 30, PPKS as a ‘Centre of Excellence in Technology’ ( CoET) will be conducting the ‘ NECT- Gen: Cyber Security’ (CS) programme for HRDF levy- contributi­ng companies.

The 10- day programme will be divided into four series and applicants must fulfil the track prerequisi­tes. Successful participan­ts will be awarded with the ‘CyberSec First Responder: Threat Detection and Response’ certificat­ion.

Under the ‘ Next Generation Workers- Industry 4.0’ ( NECTGenInd­ustry 4.0), a series of certificat­ion programmes has been initiated by the HRDF ranging from Track A: Industry 4.0 Big Data ( BD), Track B: Industry 4.0 Cloud Computing ( CC), Track C: Industry 4.0 Internet of Things ( IoT), Track D: Industry 4.0 Cyber Security(CS) and Track D: Industry 4.0 Vertical Integratio­n ( VI).

The Industry 4.0 Cyber Security programme is sponsored by HRDF under a special grant and there will be no levy deduction or payment required.

Eligible industries contributi­ng to the HRDF are encouraged to upskill and certify their current and future workforce through high-value technology certificat­ion and training programmes.
