New date and place for debate proposed

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Padang Rengas MP Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz has proposed a new date and location for a debate with former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad that police rejected a permit for Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters at the Parliament lobby Tuesday, Nazri who is also Tourism and Culture Minister said he had asked the organisers to arrange the debate at the Karangkraf Media Group office in Shah Alam on April 7.

“I want the debate to be held in the office premises because a permit would not be required. It is not a public gathering either. It would be in the Karangkraf compound and they can contact Tun M to inform him of the status,” he said. — Bernama
