CMS staff buy formula milk for disabled

-

KUCHING: Staff of Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd (CMS) recently came to the aid of Hope Place Kuching by donating RM1,000 worth of S26 special blend milk.

According to Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan, the special blend of milk is specially for the disabled.

He related that some CMS staffers were moved by a news article published recently regarding a disabled boy who is in need of the special blend milk, which led to the noble effort.

Presenting the donations, which were from their own pocket money, were Patricia King, Susan Chin and Ngu Siew Pin.

Hope Place is an NGO that visits the poor and less fortunate families to contribute some essential food items like rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt, biscuits and noodles.

For families with children with special needs or with elderly or disabled people, Hope Place provides milk powder, oat and diapers as well.

Hope Place carries out aid deliveries once every two months because of the many families on its recipients list and is currently supporting more than 170 families.
