KUCHING: Malaysian entrepreneur Esther Law received the prestigious CSR Leader of the Year Award at the 2017 McMillan Woods Global Awards ceremony on March 24.

McMillan Woods Global Awards is an international award which aims at highlighting and praising successful leaders and enterprises in their fields or for their contributions to the development of global economy and society.

The awards ceremony was held at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, with a total of 30 awards presented to successful enterprises and outstanding people in cultural and entertainment sectors in order to encourage their continuous excellent achievements in the future.

According to a press release, some of the past years’ award recipients include Gina Rinehart (world’s richest woman in 2012), Datuk Jackie Chan, Fu Shu Quan (the highest taxpayer in China), and Malaysian astronaut Datuk Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor.

Law has devoted herself to the global healthcare consultation and humanities education services over 10 years and helped many cancer patients attain the most suitable treatment plans with cross-border medical care.

Since 2014, she has reached a series of important cooperation agreements with the world’s top medical institutions and health management agencies through her company Excellent Medicare Company (EMIC), with the purpose of connecting global medical resources and promoting global healthcare services and education platforms.

Besides the healthcare field, Law also has participated actively in many international collaborations and multi- directional business developments in recent years, promoting the integration of global resources and connections with international teams.

She is keen to build the global business alliance platform, carry out cross-international relations and projects and promote global business developments as well.

Her current main business is not only related to the field of healthcare, but also involves humanities education, real estate development, project investment, agricultural cultivation, fisheries trade and other diversified areas.

During the award ceremony, Law received the CSR Leader Award from Dato’ Raymond Liew, the chairman of the Preparatory Committee of McMillan Woods Global Awards.

“You will encounter many negative voices and setbacks in the process, which continuously challenges your faith and will, especially when trying to create a new commercial model,” said Law

“You will always feel that you are doing things opposite to the experience. There are many people waiting and watching while few of them will give you real support. I know there is still a long way to succeed, but this award will become a strong power pushing me to never give up.

“To serve the community and the people, it’s my heart and dream. It’s a bright and hopeful road, I believe,” she said.

Meanwhile, Law made an appeal that more people and powers should gather and cooperate to make bigger contributions to the development of society and the economy. She hopes to promote more cooperation with overseas projects in the future, making contributions to the country and society.
