Third reunion in three years, thanks to WhatsApp

SIBU: More than 80 former students from the classes of 74 (Form 3), 76 (Form 5) and 78 ( Upper Six) of Sacred Heart School will have their reunion at Tanahmas Hotel here on April 1.

Organising chairman Simon Wong said the gathering will be their third since 2015.

He said this was made possible after they set up a chat group in WhatsApp.

“We have linked more than 100 former students through the chat group, and we are expanding our group. We shall have fun as we walk down memory lane in the reunion dinner.”

He said the former class and schoolmates, who were now scattered over the country and abroad, would be celebrating their 40th anniversary next year.

He expected a grander celebration then.

“We shall discuss this matter in our coming gathering to plan ahead.
