SDNU Youth Kapit to hold pre-Gawai dinner on May 20

KAPIT: Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU) Youth Menoa Kapit announced a partnership with SDNU Menoa Kapit and Sarawak Energy to organize the Kapit PreGawai Dinner Gala on Saturday, May 20 at the Kapit Civic Center, said youth chief Judson Jarrau.

The evening will include a full dinner reception, the presentation of study incentives to high achieving students, live musical entertainment by Dayak artistes and a Kumang Gawai Dayak Kapit contest.

It will also serve as a platform for Iban artistes to perform for their fans.

The event’s patron is Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi, while Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing has been invited to be the guestof-honor.

Other guests expected to grace the event are Hulu Rajang Member of Parliament Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat and Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang.
