Eva Express embraces Sarawakian identity with new bus design

-

KUCHING: Eva Express Sdn Bhd has embraced its identity as a Sarawak-based company with four new buses designed with the state flag’s colours and a Dayak motif.

Executive director Wilson Chiew said the company will continue to maintain and upgrade its transport services according to the standards set by his late father Nelson Chiew who emphasised comfort, safety and fairness.

“The innovative look of these four new buses not only bring a fresh appearance but an integration of local identities that create meanings for both local and foreign visitors who choose to use Eva as their service provider while exploring the rich multicultural heritage in Sarawak.

“Today (yesterday), the launching of the four new busses is an effort to provide more comfortable service to our clients and to replace the old buses, especially on the international route to ensure safety and improve the image of Eva,” he said during the launching ceremony officiated by Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang.

Eva provides services throughout Sarawak, Sabah, Brunei and Kalimantan in Indonesia.

“Eva also provides self-help travel, planned activities and others, which play an intermediate role in the development of the local tourism industry,” he said.

Eva provides economy class and super class services with spacious and comfortable seats. It has launched an online booking system for advance bookings.

Among those at the launch were Eva Express Sdn Bhd chairman Abang Muhamad Yassin Abang Zainudin, director Phang Kang Chong, managing director Michelle Chiew, and Kuching Sentral director Raymond Sim.
