THE 57TH Monte Carlo TV Festival will run from June 16 to 20. The just-unveiled list of official nominees includes “The Young Pope”, “Billions”, “Midnight Sun” and “11.22.63”.

The UK is also in the running for an award with the mini-series “National Treasure”, the BBC comedy “Fleabag”, which is also available on Amazon, and the period drama series “Victoria”.

France is represented by France 2 TV fi lm “Don’t Leave Me”, about the radicalisation of young French people who go to Syria, and “Lebowitz Vs Lebowitz”, a legal series starring Clémentine Célarié.

Other nominees include “Midnight Sun”, a FrenchSwedish series, and “The Young Pope”, a series created and directed by Paolo Sorrentino, starring Jude Law, which is an international co-production between France, Italy, Spain, the UK and the US.

A total of nine Golden Nymph Awards will be handed out in the drama category at the ceremony on June 20. For the moment, only one jury member has been announced — the American actress Christina Ricci (“Z: The Beginning of Everything”, “The Good Wife”).
