Hamill admits making out with Fisher during filming

-

STAR Wars legend Mark Hamill has admitted that he and co- star Carrie Fisher used to make out like “horny teenagers” during the filming of the first movie in the franchise.

The revelation came when Hamill was giving an emotional tribute to his late co- star at the official Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida.

Hamill said “part of me did fall in love with her”, but their relationship ended up more akin to brother and sister, much like their characters Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

“She had you under her spell,” Hamill said of what she was like during the first Star Wars movie, ‘A New Hope’.

“Sometimes we sort of wanted to go in that direction, on the pretext of talking about kissing techniques … Cut to us making out on the couch like a couple of horny teenagers.

“And I’ll tell you, what really cooled it was the fact that at some point we both started laughing.

“Believe me, that … kills your passion, if someone’s laughing in your face.

“We dodged a bullet there because we had the fun without any of the responsibility.”

Hamill said his fondest memories of Fisher were the times he had her to himself.

“I didn’t want to share her with Harrison ( Ford); I didn’t want to share her with anybody!” he said. “At the same time, as attracted as I was to her, I thought, I couldn’t handle her as a girlfriend. She’s too much.”

On Luke Skywalker’s journey in ‘ Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, Hamill said Luke is a “completely different person” in the new movie.

“He had an arc (in the original trilogy), and I think ( Carrie Fisher) and ( Harrison Ford) admitted their characters were pretty much the same throughout, but Luke was always changing,” Hamill said. “Now we have this 30-year gap between the films, so a lot of it is conjecture. It’s not specifically my story-- Rey is now the protagonist.”
