RM15,800 in prizes await winners of 14th Dynasty Hotel Charity Run
MIRI: Cash prizes totalling RM15,800 await winners of the 14th Dynasty Hotel Charity Run, scheduled on July 9, starting 6.15am.
At the launching ceremony yesterday , Dynasty Hotel acting general manager and organising chairperson Ho Poh Chin said they aimed to register over 1,800 runners and raise much needed funds for the needy.
“Although we do not set any target to be collected through this run, all assistance and support from members of the public are appreciated.”
Part of the proceeds raised from the run will be channelled to several non-governmental organisations including Association of Parents with Special Children (Pibakis), PDK Morsjaya, Miri Dialysis Centre, Sarawak Society for the Blind (Miri branch) and Home for the Aged.
“The balance will go to Dynasty Hotel Charity Fund for its annual festival goodies and other charity events,” she added.
For early bird registration – those who register by May 28 – the registration fees for all categories such as 10km Men Open, 10km Women Open, 10km Men Veteran, 10km Women Veteran, 10km Junior Boy, 10km Junior Girl, 3.5 km Family Boy, 3.5km Family Girl and 3.5km Fun Run is only RM55 per participant.
Those who register between May 29 and June 5 will have to pay RM10 more.
All categories will have Top 10 winners who will receive cash prizes and finisher medals.
There are two choices of submitting the registration – by registration form and donation card. For those using the donation card, there will be selected Top 5 collector (donation received not less than RM1,000). The top 3 collectors will be presented with a return air ticket to Kuala Lumpur, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
Entry forms are available at Dynasty Hotel, Share Tea Boulevard Commercial Centre and Canteen at Bulatan Park. Online registration is also available at http:// bulatanparkrunnersclub.com/ dynastyrun. The deadline for registration is June 5.
All runners will receive a 2nd skin t-shirt, a finisher medal, waterproof bib number, drinks and other sponsored items. Collection of race pack will be on July 7 and 8 at the ground level of Dynasty Hotel from 10am to 6pm.
Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau who is also the charity run advisor, Bulatan Park Runners Club president Tang Swee Ming, Bomba Zone 6 chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, representatives from Share Tea, co-sponsor Indocafe Goh Teck Lim, Lions Club of Batu Niah centennial president Ting Ling and committee members of the run were present at the launching ceremony.
