KUCHING: The Technology College Sarawak ( TCS) is raising the bar in providing new students with a relaxed, stress- free and enjoyable learning experience.

According to a press statement from the college, it understands what it means for a new student to be away from family and settling into a new environment.

“We are aware of the students’ needs and make it a priority to provide them with a homely setting for the next three years of their academic lives.

“Orientation weeks are often held at the beginning of the academic year. Thus, we initiate the students’ stay by engaging them in a purposely designed orientation week, during which a road map for their development in the academic world is being set up.

“During orientation week, the TCS academic staff, as well as the new students’ peers and seniors join them in a wide range of social and campus activities to guide the newcomers into the engaging, fun and creative learning environment at TCS,” the college said.

In addition, TCS Students Council holds informative sessions consecutively on the main campus and at students’ residence. These events not only bring new students together, but also initiate friendships and create bonds (networking) that will extend into the future.
