175 taking part in Malaysian Orang Ulu Golf Tournament

MIRI: A total of 175 golfers will be taking part in the Malaysian Orang Ulu Golf Tournament 2017 which will be held in Miri Golf Club ( KGM) tomorrow.

According to a spokespers­on for the organiser, this is the first such tournament organised by the Orang Ulu community here.

The registrati­on of the players will be held today from 2pm to 5pm, while late registrati­on will be held at 9.30am tomorrow.

During registrati­on, participan­ts will also receive their goodies bag as well as have their golfers insurance verified.

A gol fer without valid gol f insurance will be denied entry onto the golf course.

Miri Golf Club (KGM) committee and staff wil l be conducting a random check as and when required, and participan­ts are requested to cooperate when approached by KGM committee and staff.

“Without a valid golf insurance the organising committee or KGM has the right to disallowed a golfer to continue his or her round of golf.

“Golf insurance for the day can be purchased at KGM’s counter,” disclosed the spokespers­on.

The tournament will have six categories namely Men Open, Ladies Open, Senior, Junior and Invited Guests. Prizes will be presented to the winners during the Cultural Night Dinner which will be held at Parkcity Everly Hotel that same evening.
