Samarahan teachers told to keep up excellent services

SAMARAHAN: Teachers must continue to strive for excellence in their teaching profession even if they have to face various challenges while performing their duties.

Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang said this when she officiated at Samarahan’s district level excellent service awards (APC) day held at Tun Abdul Razak Teachers’ Training Institutio­n here recently.

Rubiah congratula­ted the teachers for receiving the APC awards but reminded them to continue to be more accountabl­e and committed in their profession despite the several challenges they face when executing their duties.

She also pointed out that teachers are key players and agents of change in moulding, developing and shaping the next generation and the nation in general.

This, she said, would have great impact on schools and the Ministry of Education.

She urged teachers to continue to serve with high commitment and integrity, and continue to shine and improve the district’s current academic ranking at state and national levels.

He hoped the teachers would cont inue to sus tai n thei r performanc­e profession­ally with high commitment, accountabi­lity and integrity in order to achieve excellence in curriculum and cocurricul­um results on par with other districts and states.

Earlier, Lendik Edmund Mawin from SMK Muara Tuang led the 199 APC receivers in taking the public service integrity pledge. The event was jointly organised by Samarahan District Education Office, Samarahan Headmaster­s Associatio­n ( MGB) and Tun Abdul Razak Teachers’ Training Institutio­n.
