KUCHING: Tony Roma’s Malaysia is expanding its target market by introducing its weekday set lunch aimed at the office crowd in Kuching based on its to its value- formoney deal.

According to operat ions manager Dave Sidhu, its branch in Vivacity Megamall, Kuching -- its sole branch in Sabah and Sarawak -- sees great patronage during weekends and public holidays, but its weekday crowd places empahasis on lunch.

The gene r al mana ge r explained that the Kuching outlet’s lunch crowd usually consists of office people who came to the mall not planning to dine here in the first place but was attracted by their lunch promotion.

“Then they realise we have the set lunch and start taking pictures of their set lunch and sharing it with their off ice colleagues,” he told The Borneo Post in an interview yesterday. “They were not aware that we have this kind of deal and they find that it is very value- formoney.”

Generally, Tony Roma’s menu is quite a hit with frequent diners, he added, who are familiar with the brand and food while for others, it is a new dining experience.

Sidhu noted that that there is nothing similar to Tony Roma’s in Kuching right now and thus encourages people to try the food there.

With a Western-themed casual dining concept, Tony Roma’s offers a variety of choices for friends, couples or even families patronising its outlet.

Tony Roma’s has been in operation in Vivacity Megamall for about a year, with Sidhu revealing that the next outlet to be launched will be in Klang Valley next month.
