Boulevard Wedding & Beauty Fair ends on high note

MIRI: The recent Boulevard Wedding & Beauty Fair was deemed a huge success, drawing in hundreds of people with various activities during the weekend.

The fair which featured 14 booths from Miri, Peninsular Malaysia as well as Sabah and Taiwan, offered various services from pre-wedding photo shooting packages to bridal gowns and wedding reception as well as facial beauty packages for soonto-be brides and grooms.

According to Boulevard Shopping Mall Miri’s function and marketing senior executive Hedy Wee, the fair was an ideal opportunit­y for locals and people from Brunei Darussalam to select their choice of bridal studios and services without the hassle of going to various places to survey.

“We are also happy that the visitors managed to able to seek advice from the profession­als,” Wee said.

Customers who signed up for and bought packages at these booths were eligible for lucky draw sessions which were held daily at 9pm starting from May 5 until the final draw on May 7.

Lucky bride-to- be Karen Lee Chun Chiew walked away with the grand prize of return flight tickets for two to Macau.

Other prizes included buffet and hotel room vouchers from various hotels in Miri and sponsored hampers.

Meanwhile, a ‘ Parents’ Day Colouring Contest’ was held on May 7 at the shopping mall at 10am, attracting 400 contestant­s.

Jointly organised by Boulevard Shopping Mall Miri and Tong Seng Huat Rice Trading Sdn Bhd, and supported by Century Art Gallery, the contest was divided into three categories – Group A (Kindergart­en), Group B (Primary 1-3) and Group C (Primary 4- 6).

In Group A, Mia Eryna Mohd Haffiz claimed the champion’s title while David Tay and Amanda Chong took second and third place respective­ly.

In Group B, Wong Shyn Jie took the champion’s title ahead of Yuky Siek Qi QI and Then Yu Fuk in second and third place respective­ly.

In Group C, Grace Soo Hui Ting was the champion, followed by Mok Xiao Maang in second and Doris Ting Xin Yii in third place.

All winners brought home a cash prize, hamper, trophy and certificat­e each.
