MASwings launches new cabin crew uniform

-

KUCHING: MASwings created another milestone yesterday with the launch of its new cabin crew uniform.

Its chief executive officer Aminuddin Zakaria said this was part of the airline’s continuous effort to improve its reputation and win back customers’ trust and confidence by focusing on attracting customers’ attention.

“As our cabin crew are at the forefront of our business, and often times will be the first touchpoint with our beloved customers during their flight, it comes as no surprise that we would want to give only the best for them being MASwings ambassadors,” he said at the MASwings New Cabin Crew Uniform Official Launch ceremony which was officiated at by the Chief Minister’s wife Datin Amar Datuk Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang at a leading hotel here yesterday.

This was the fourth time MASwings revamped its cabin crew uniform, with the last revamp in 2012.

“Therefore, it is about time that we injected a new breath of life into the look of our cabin crew uniform since MASwings has become a household name in Sabah and Sarawak after almost ten years in operation,” said Aminuddin, adding that the new style was in line with MASwings’ new motto ‘Young, Fresh & Speed’.

With the new uniform, he pointed out that the stewardess’ kebaya top has been converted from a bateau neckline cut into a vneckline portraying the evergreen kebaya design.

“As for the male crew uniform, we are now changing their longsleeved top into a shorter sleeves style to provide more ease of movement to the male crew during their service duty on board especially during refreshment serving time.”

On the other hand, he also noted that the airline maintained an active role in this competitive industry by constantly providing promotional deals into and out of Sarawak.

“It is our aspiration to support our local tourism promotion by allowing the people to enjoy travelling convenience either for business or personal reasons with attractive deals,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin also gave his assurance that the airline would continue to make its presence visible by working on strengthening its operational and business capability to serve its customers, namely the people of Sarawak and Sabah, better.

“We are working hard on overcoming our current technical challenges and to win back our customers’ trust and confidence.

“On behalf of MASwings, I pledge that we will continue to work closely with all the travel trade players in Sarawak for a better and brighter tomorrow, together,” he said.

Among those present were Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan’s wife Datin Amar Datuk Dayang Morliah Awang Daud and Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports permanent secretary Datu Ik Pahon Joyik.
