ceremony, Penguang expressed his thanks to APM, Beluru District Office, Fire and Rescue Department ( Bomba), Welfare Department, Royal Malaysia Police and other agencies for their involvement in the flood management and monitoring the situation.

He praised them for their full cooperation in helping to transport relief items like food, and evacuation.

He said the aid was not compensation for those affected by the flood but it was to lighten their burden.

“I urge all the recipients to use and spend the money wisely and for buying what they really need and not for buying alcohol,” he reminded.

Present were Beluru district officer Mohd Rashdan Hazemi, Marudi District Council chairman Edward Mendai, APM representative Lieutenant Mirwan Shah Masri and local community leaders.
