KUCHING: The renowned Ipoh White Coffee manufacturer Chek Hup is introducing its new line of gourmet coffee products.

According to a Chek Hup marketing executive, the new offerings are manufactured using the trademarked ‘ Microground’ technology.

Chek Hup is running a threeday roadshow ending tomorrow with Ta Kiong Supermarket at the Spring Shopping Mall here.

The roadshow also promotes Chek Hup’s three products in East Malaysia.

“We are promoting three of our products that use this technology – the ‘ Colombian Cappuccino’, ‘Colombian Latte’ and ‘Colombian Mocha’. They come in boxed packages – each containing six sachets and six rock sugar sticks,” said the Chek Hup marketing executive.

“The details on what the microground technology is all about can be seen on each box. It is said that the technology gives each product its distinctive, highquality flavour. The microground involves processes such as the method of roasting, science of coffee granules, and fine-grinding. It’s a combination of science and art,” explained the marketing executive, adding that through the three products, Chek Hup strives to promote the availability of the gourmet coffee anywhere whether at home or in the office – and anytime.

Visitors to the Chek Hup’s booth in front of the Ta Kiong Supermarket get to sample the latest coffee products as well as receive other promotions from Chek Hup.

Every box of any Chek Hup’s product purchased entitles the customer to a free sachet of a Chek Hup product; and purchases of three boxes entitles to a free container of six sachets of a Chek Hup product.

According to the marketing executive, the Colombian Cappucino and Colombian Latte are popular among customers in Peninsular Malaysia.

Chek Hup is also looking forward to see what the preference is among customers in Sarawak and Sabah.

Established in Ipoh, Perak in the mid-1900s, Chek Hup is now producing 7,200 tonnes of instant beverages and rock sugar every year with an annual targeted turnover of RM100 million.
