More expected to sign up for SLAR 2017 as deadline looms
KUCHING: The Spring’s Live Active Run 2017 (SLAR 2017) has so far attracted more than 2,500 participants, and this figure is expected to increase soon as the deadline for sign-up is approaching.
The event will be flagged off at the megamall’s premier car park on July 9.
Those interested to take part in SLAR 2017 can register online via the event’s official website www. liveactiverun.com, or head over to The Spring’s Customer Service Counter. This year, the running event offers more than RM30,000 in prizes.
On top of that, the top 100 participants of the 21km Open category (men and women) and the top 50 participants of the 21km Veterans category (men and women) who make it to the finish line will each receive a limited edition finisher’s T-shirt with an edgy design that comes in a unique gradient tone of fuchsia pink to bright yellow.
Runners can also look out for the bubbly and energetic Mix FM announcer and fitness personality, Linora Low who is the SLAR 2017 ambassador and also hosting the big day.
Runners will not only have the chance to meet Linora up-close, but also get to play interactive games onstage with her and win some prizes.
Warming up the 5KM Course on event day will be local entertainers such as YouTube vlogger Joyce Khoo and a host of radio announcers from Era FM, MY FM and Hitz FM Sarawak.
SLAR 2017 will unveil more details on the runners’ programme that will help the participants to prepare for the race next month June.
The beneficiaries of this running event this year are Cahaya Kuching Dialysis Association, Hope Place Kuching and The Society for Kuching Urban Poor (SKUP).
The official partners of SLAR 2017 are Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, Level Up Fitness, Revive, Rehab Concept, Timberland Medical Centre, Copyrunner and Redbull.
