KUCHING: Those who wish to run for a good cause can sign up for T-RUN 2.0 which is now open for registration.

T-RUN 2.0 organising chairman Bryan Liew Yu Phin said the charity run is open to all citizens of Sarawak.

“The deadline for registration is on June 30,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Jointly organised by Tea FM, Federation of Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions Chinese Association Youth Section, See Hua Daily and the Second Kuching Company of the Boys’ Brigade, the charity fun run is divided into two categories, namely 5km and 10km.

For this year’s T- RUN 2.0, organisers have increased the quota to 2,000 participants to accommodate more runners in view of the overwhelming response last year, which exceeded the target of 1,000 participants.

Registration is charged at RM45 per person where the first 2,000 participants will receive a t- shirt, a medal, products from Mee Daddy, WanFa, Eagle Brand as well as one year’s free subscription of See Hua Daily or The Borneo Post e-paper.

In addition, the first 1,000 registrants will also receive a voucher courtesy of Life Cafe, which can be used to redeem either the ‘ Shanghai Noodles’ or ‘ Signature Spicy Noodles’ at Life Cafe’s Jalan Padungan, Jalan Keretapi or Jalan Song branches.

With the value of gifts amounting to RM80, participants are also entitled to take part in TRUN 2.0’s lucrative lucky draw.

Proceeds from the run will be donated to BB LOVE BOX, a charity event organised by the Second Kuching Company of the Boys’ Brigade which aims to fulfil the needs of underprivileged children in rural areas.

T-RUN 2.0 is mainly sponsored by GREE, Life Cafe, Mee Daddy, WanFa and Eagle Brand.
