UTM offers IDP for local, international students
KUCHING: Universiti Teknologi Malaysia ( UTM) in Johor Bahru is offering its UTM-IDP (international degree programme) for both Malaysian and international students, giving them the opportunity to experience world- class teaching and learning processes.
The university in a statement said UTM-IDP is a premium degree programme which also allows students to gain new experience by travelling abroad through its Global Outreach Programme embedded in the programme.
Courses offered under this programme are Bachelor of Engineering ( Civil), Bachelor of Engineering ( Electrical), Bachelor of Engineering ( Electrical-Electronics), Bachelor of Engineering ( Bio- Medical), Bachelor of Engineering ( Mechanical), Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical), Bachelor of Science (Property Management), Bachelor Of Engineering (Geomatics), Bachelor of Computer Science ( Data Engineering), Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering), Bachelor Of Accounting, and Bachelor Of Science ( Industrial Design).
Prospective students will have the expediency to choose programmes that are sorted accordingly to their qualifications. Applicants can also have ease of mind over direct application without going through the University Intake Unit ( UPU).
Entry to UTM-IDP is through STPM, matriculation, diploma, or foundation programmes from private institutions such A- Levels, Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) and so on, or for international students, they must pass the Malaysian University English Test ( MUET) with a minimum of Band 2.

The first intake for this programme will commence in September for Semester 1, Session 2017/2018 together with other programmes at UTM. All classes will be conducted in English.
