Kardashian knew marriage to Humphries would not last
LOS ANGELES: Showbiz celebrity Kim Kardashian knew that her marriage to sportsman Kris Humphries in 2011 would not last. It lasted 72 days. Her comments came during an interview with Andy Cohen on the after- show of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live.
“When you went into that marriage, did you think . . . that it was forever?,” Cohen asked.
“I just thought, ‘Holy (expletive), I'm 30 years old, I better get this together. I better get married,” she said. “I think, like, a lot of girls do go through that where they freak out thinking they're getting old and have they to figure it out, all their friends are having kids. And so it was more of that situation. But I knew, like, honeymoon it wasn't gonna work out.”
In 2014, in her famous Paper magazine cover story, Kardashian had brushed off the queries with a quick, nondescript answer:
“It's just one of those life lessons that you have to learn, and it's OK,” she said then.
The other Kardashian sisters have usually served as proxies in discussing the Humphries affair. In 2016, Khloé Kardashian said during Snoop Dogg's web series GGN that she had warned Kim about the marriage, going so far as to take a few ad hominem swipes at the former Mr Kardashian.
“So, I said the truth, and, you know, in hindsight, she was like, ‘ You were right,' ” the younger Kardashian said.
