KUCHING: The BanQuet Restaurant is offering its Ramadan buffet dinner until June 24 with new items on the menu.

The three new food stalls this year are the Special Pizza Stall, Spicy Pasta Stall and Dr Ketam’s Favourite Seafood.

Those looking for something new and unique should give the Special Pizza Stall a go as it offers Kolo Mee Pizza and Laksa Pizza —both iconic Sarawak dishes— as pizza toppings.

Spicy food lovers can try the Spicy Pasta Stall that has 10 levels of spiciness to suit each diner’s taste with Level 1 being the least spicy and Level 10 the spiciest.

Dr Ketam’s Favourite Seafood on the other hand is an ongoing seafood promo package at the BanQuet which lets diners enjoy seafood without utensils. They can choose to have it with either bread or rice and their choice of three types of sauces — Nonya Curry, Lemongrass Chilli or Asian Carbonara.

Returning favourites are the Peking duck in eggfold, black pepper stir-fried duck served with lettuce, salted vegetable and duck soup with tofu, ‘ayam bakar’ with satay sauce, a barbecue section with a selection of lamb, sardine, stingray and chicken wings, and ‘lok-lok’.

Other entrees include a selection of local ‘kueh’, dates, ‘rojak’, ‘umai’, ‘ulam’ and desserts like ‘ABC’ and ice- cream. For drinks, there are hot drinks, cold drinks and even ‘teh tarik’ and ‘kopi tarik’.

The food is certified halal and there is also a surau for evening prayers.
