Ahmad Lai launches Ramadan Buffet Promotion at EVGCC

MIRI: Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club ( EVGCC) welcomes members of the public, in particular Muslims, to enjoy its Ramadan Buffet Promotion.

It was launched by guest- ofhonour Sibuti MP Ahmad Lai on Thursday.

Also present were Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Piasau Assemblyma­n Datu Sebastian Ting, Miri Mayor Adam Yii and EVGCC’s club captain Datuk James Ling.

The promotion available until June 18th this year charges RM50 nett per adult and RM30 nett per child aged five to 12 years old.

The culinary team of EVGCC designed the buffet with uniquely prepared gastronomi­c delights ranging from its Cold Section to Main Dish Section.

In an effort to provide a memorable dining for breaking of fast at EVGCC, the culinary team is offering varying menus throughout the 18 days of its Ramadan buffet promotion.

To start the dining experience, patrons have a wide range of salad and ulam-ulaman such as the famous Sarawakian raw seafood like ‘ Umai Ikan’, ‘ Umai Sotong’, ‘ Umai Udang’ which served with its complement of ‘Sambal Belacan’, ‘Sambal Tomato’, ‘Sambal Ikan Bilis’ and ‘Sambal Mangga’.

What one can expect is a mixture of oriental and local fl avours for a feel and taste of these two types of delicacies.

There is also a live cooking stall offering traditiona­l fried carrot cake with preserved radish, eggs, bean sprouts and chives served with homemade yummy chili sauce.

Another special fusion is Lamb Kebab served with sliced tomato and cucumber, lettuce, onion, satay sauce and mayonnaise.

The main course offers Malaysian delights such as ‘Ayam Goreng Berempah’, ‘Udang Rendang Tok’, ‘Sambal Daging Gula Melaka’, ‘ Kambing Kuah Pekat Kismis’, ‘Ikan Masak Asam Kari’, ‘ Sotong Goreng Berlada’, ‘Braised Beancurd with Assorted Mushroom’ and many more.

Eastwood hot menu of ‘ Bubur Pedas’ and ‘ Sarawak Laksa’ as well as ‘ Pan Fried Lamb with Honey Glaze Topped with Sesame Seed’ will also be available during the buffet.

For desserts are 30 types of assorted puddings, jellies, assorted Malay kuih, waffle served with various flavours of ice- cream, homemade cakes and others.

Diners holding Eastwood Privilege Card (EPC) will be given 10 percent discounts during the buffet promotion period.

On top of that, group bookings allow diners to purchase a booklet of 10 coupons to get to a free coupon.

This promotion is also applicable to EPC members.
