KTS Group of Companies security officers complete Auxiliary Police training programme

-

KUCHING: It was a proud moment for five security officers from the KTS Group of Companies when they graduated from the Auxiliary Police programme after completing the end of basic training at the Police Training Centre here recently.

The five, Adib Hasif Mahmud, Awang Idris Awang Kassim, Herman Mahari, Jamaluddin Bujang Zaidon and Norhisham Ghazali, were also sworn-in as new constables during a recent welcoming and presentation of certificates- of-attendance ceremony at Crown Towers in Pending.

Auxiliary Police Superintendent Kuek Han Juay of KTS Group of Companies said he was proud of his officers’ achievement, adding that KTS’ security officers and auxiliary police personnel were dedicated and always gave their best when discharging their duties.

“I am grateful for the excellent services of the officers in line with the company management’s aspiration to manage, operate and maintain its premises in a safe, secure and efficient manner,” he told The Borneo Post yesterday.

Auxiliary police personnel receive the same training as regular police personnel, and handle normal police duties such as patrols and static controls, protecting properties, crowd control, searches and apprehending criminals, he added.

He said upon joining the auxiliary police force, individuals have to undergo training at the Royal Malaysia Police ( PDRM) training centres throughout the country.

Kuek said they were hoping to recruit more security personnel whose main duties include guarding, patrolling and escorting.

“We offer a very attractive salary. Those with a minimum qualification of Penilaian Menengah Rendah ( PMR), Sijil Rendah Pelajaran (SRP), Malaysian Certificate of Examination (MCE) or Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and possess a good command of English are welcome to apply,” he said.

Those interested can call 082346699 to make an appointment for a walk-in interview at the security counter located on the ground floor of Crown Towers at No 88, Jalan Pending here.

KTS Group of Companies received approval from the Royal Malaysia Police to employ auxiliary police personnel in August 2013.
