IGEM 2017 eyes business leads of RM1.6 billion

KUALA LUMPUR: The 8th Internatio­nal Greentech and Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia ( IGEM 2017), which is expected to attract 320 exhibitors from over 20 countries, targets to generate RM1.6 bi l l ion in business leads during its three- day run.

In line with this year’s theme, ‘ Powering Green Cit ies’, the exhibi t ion continues to position Malaysia as a central hub for ASEAN green businesses, teaming up with new parties to offer new content.

Jointly organised by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water and Malaysia Green Technology Corporat ion ( GreenTech Malaysia), IGEM 2017 will be held from Oct 11-13, 2017, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

“I am confident that IGEM 2017 will once again be a strategic platform for our exhibitors to further expand green technology ventures and make in-roads into new markets,” GreenTech Group Chief Execut ive Of f icer, Dr Mohd Azman Zainul Abidin said in a statement yesterday.

To date, a few leading corporatio­ns have confirmed their participat­ion including ABB ( M) Sdn Bhd, Gading Kencana Sdn Bhd, Hanwha Q- Cell ( M) Sdn Bhd, Itramas Manufactur­ing Sdn Bhd, Malaysia Timber Certificat­ion Cou nc i l , SIR IM QAS Internatio­nal Sdn Bhd and China-based Beijing Eastyida Internatio­nal Exhibition Co. Ltd.

Over the three- day expo, exhibitors will benefit from h igh- level conference­s including the Internatio­nal Urban Sustainabi­lity Green Building Conference and the Solar Photovolta­ic conference focusing on Energy, Storage and Mobility. — Bernama
