PG Mall, MIEA sign MoU for e-commerce marketing platform

GEORGE TOWN: PG Mal l has signed a memorandum of understand­ing ( MoU) with the Malaysia Internet Entreprene­ur Associatio­n ( MIEA) to encourage more entreprene­urs to explore e- commerce as a mode to reach internatio­nal markets via a reliable and safe marketing platform.

Public Gold Group ( PGG) Executive Chairman Datuk Louis Ng said PG Mall, an online marketplac­e founded by PGG, was establishe­d end last year to assist and support all kinds of businesses, large or small.

“Through this collaborat­ion, PG Mall will encourage its existing and new merchants to par t icipate in MIEA’s workshops which emphasise on e- commerce skill refinement,” he said at a press conference yesterday.

He said MIEA would monitor the sales performanc­e of the members registered with PG Mall periodical­ly to ensure the effect iveness of their workshops.

“This partnershi­p is testament to the trust they have in us, and it also signifies our capability and reliabilit­y as an e- commerce platform provider,” he said.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by PGG MIS ( C omput e r Dep a r tment ) director, Charles Lim and MIEA Vice- President, Zainal Rashid Isa.

Meanwhile, MIEA President, Mohd Azrul Mohd Nor said the associat ion had been collaborat­ing with PG Mall since December last year, and it had been very supportive in recruiting and encouragin­g members to sharpen their ecommerce skills on PG Mall’s platform.

He said onl ine business provided vast opportunit­ies which should be utilised by local entreprene­urs.
