Negative surprise as MISC faces counter claim from Sabah Shell
Analysts were negatively surprised at MISC Bhd being counterclaimed by Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Ltd for works at the Gumusut–Kakap Semi- Floating Production System.
AirAsia eyes local, international expansion
AirAsia Bhd, who has been gunning for aggressive regional expansion with the signing of two separate joint-ventures in Vietnam and China in the first half of 2017 (1H17), will continue to emphasise on both local and international expansion. According to head of commercial Spencer Lee, AirAsia will continue to focus on expanding local connectivity and frequency amidst regional expansion in order to stimulate and maintain local market demand.

Labuan tourism turnaround seen with Taipei charter flights approved
Labuan is expected to see a dramatic turnaround in tourism from next month, with the long-awaited international charter flights from Taipei having been confirmed by the Malaysian Aviation Commission. Malindo Air’s inaugural flight with 160 passengers is scheduled to land at the Labuan Airport on July 7 and continue until August 13.

According to Maxis head of Sarawak region Alexius Bong, to date, consumers today are using more data on the back of an increase in smartphone penetration and growing accessibility to the internet.
Unions: RHB-AmBank merger not in the interest of consumers, business
The Sarawak Bank Employees Union and Malaysian Trades Union Congress Sarawak Branch say the impending merger between RHB Bank Bhd and AMMB Holdings Bhd is not in the best interests of consumers and businesses.
