Pustaka Negeri runs programme to help Form 2 students prepare for PT3
KUCHING: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak conducted the ‘ History and Me!’ programme at state library’s Special Collection Room recently, which involved 21 Form 2 students from SMK Green Road, SMK Agama Tun Ahmad Zaidi and SMK St Teresa here.
The programme, which was run in collaboration with the state Education Department, was part of the activities under the International Archives Day 2017 celebrations. It was also meant to help the students prepare for their Form 3 Assessment ( PT3) coursework and projects.
State Education Department officer Mariam Ali briefed the students on preparations for PT3, while Pustaka Negeri officer Dayangku Horiah Awangku Ghani presented ‘ Introduction of the Archives Management Division’.
“The feedback from the students for each session had been encouraging. The students were very active in asking questions to the facilitator on the related topics. The programme also provided the opportunity for both the speakers and the students to interact closely with one another, especially in the search and use of authentic materials supplied by the state library which would indirectly help them in their learning process
“Students were also taken for a tour where they had the chance to view the archive materials kept in the State Records Repository,” a statement from Pustaka Negeri said.
