KUCHING: Youths interested in studying at TAFE Internatio­nal Western Australia are welcomed to visit its booth at the MMS Education Fair held this weekend.

TAFE Internatio­nal Western Australia colleges are Western Australian Government owned and operated, and offer high quality, nationally recognised courses. TIWA welcomes students from over 94 countries in 17 industry areas.

TAFE qualificat­ions are available from Certificat­e level through to Diploma and Associate Degrees, offering industry training and practical skills, sought after by employers.

The colleges also offer pathways to Curtin, Edith Cowan and Murdoch Universiti­es, as well as to the University of Western Australia, whereby many courses provide advanced standing to a university degree.

Great subject choices (over 250 courses in Business and Management, Health and Community Services, Hospitalit­y and Tourism, Design and Multimedia, Informatio­n Technology, and Engineerin­g, Building and Constructi­on)

TAFE has colleges located in the Perth metropolit­an area: North Metropolit­an TAFE and South Metropolit­an TAFE. Together, these two colleges offer 20 different campus locations. Three TAFE colleges are located in regional areas, offering nine different campus locations.

Enrolment of internatio­nal students at Western Australian Public Schools is also managed by TAFE Internatio­nal Western Australia for the Department of Education. There are more than 800 public schools across Western Australia.

From bustling city and regional centres to some of the most remote parts of the state, all children are encouraged and supported to challenge themselves and achieve their personal best.
