Vital for organisations to have long-term vision, solid cooperation, says Masir
SRI AMAN: Members of any organisation must have longterm vision, as well as a strong sense of cooperation for the body to move further and reach greater heights.
According to Deputy Home Minister Datuk Masir Kujat, these two are the key qualities of a strong, well-run organisation.
“Without these two ( qualities), an organisation can only go so far before it fails.
“In this regard, I call upon members of all organisations and associations in Sarawak to nurture the spirit of cooperation and strive to look ahead,” he spoke at the swearing-in of committee members of the Sri Aman Chang Clan Association at the civic centre here on Monday night.
Adding on, Masir who is Sri Aman MP, also listed being open to criticisms as another good trait that association members should strive to adopt.
“There were times when associations broke apart due to discords arising from members unable to accept criticisms.
“In a positive way, any criticism should be seen and taken as a way to further enhance your organisation.”
The ceremony was witnessed by Assistant Minister of Community Wellbeing and Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, and local community leaders Kapitan Kuek Aik Seng and Kapitan Tay Yaw Ming.
