Focus group meets on Song’s development
KAPIT: The Song District Development Focus Group met recently to discuss issues regarding the implementation of government development projects.
Chaired by Song District Officer Jacklyn August, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi, who is Kapit Member of Parliament.
“Some of the projects are housing aid, roads, and of course 1Azam aid. These projects were discussed in depth. It was a good meeting because the community leaders were also involved and also the relevant departments, there were many of them present,” Nanta told reporters.
“A lot of issues need to be thrashed out so that the projects are implemented smoothly and understood by the people.”
Nanta also presented minor rural projects to the Song District Fire and Rescue Department Volunteers Club ( RM15,000), Katibas Sarawak United National Youth Organisation ( Saberkas) ( RM5,000), Song District Police Recreational Club ( RM5,000), and Rumah Japok Women’s Bureau ( RM5,000).
