Govt to focus on services sector exports — Mustapa

IPOH: The Malaysia Property Expo 2017 ( MAPEX 2017) will showcase 20,000 residentia­l and commercial units worth some RM5 billion from 47 developers.

Perak Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Associatio­n ( REHDA) Malaysia chairman, Tony Khoo Boon Chuan, said of that, 3,000 residentia­l units were specially allocated for Bumiputera­s.

He said the developers from Perak, Cameron Highlands, Pahang and Johor would showcase properties in Ipoh, Sitiawan, Taiping, Tapah, Bidor and Teluk Intan.

“The prices for residentia­l units range from RM150,000 to RM5 million each.

The developers are also offering incentives, rebate and discounts especially for Bumiputera lots for up to 10 per cent,” he told a media conference on MAPEX 2017 yesterday.

Khoo said Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadi, will officiated the three- day event from July 28, 2017.

He said some 30,000 visitors were expected to take part in the expo which would also hold briefing and talks on real estate investment and taxes involved.

“This is a very good opportunit­y for everyone to evaluate and compare housing prices as developers are offering reasonable prices so those residing here can own their own property,” he said.

Khoo said REHDA also expected an encouragin­g economic growth in the second half of this year, subsequent­ly contributi­ng to the real estate developmen­t in Perak. — Bernama
